The Accordion Player

Price range: $70.00 through $180.00

A street musician plays accordion in a Melbourne laneway doorway — shot on a 1960s Mamiya C220 with Kodak Tri-X expired in 1975. This is a limited edition fine art print, numbered and supplied with a certificate of authenticity.

A musician in a bowler hat sits in a laneway doorway playing accordion, a pipe clenched between his teeth and peeling film festival posters layered on the wall behind him. Shot on a Mamiya C220 twin-lens reflex with Kodak Tri-X film that expired in 1975, the heavy grain and soft halation give the image a quality that dissolves any sense of decade. He could be playing there still.
